Nellie Fraser, a lifelong resident of Nova Scotia, was a part time oil painter before retiring in 2017. She was 1st introduced to felt as an artistic medium in England a few years prior and delved into it with great interest. Basically self taught as a felt artist, Nellie draws her inspiration from the beauty around her rural Nova Scotia home.

In addition to home decor, Nellie also produces nuno felted scarves and wraps by melding silk and wool fibres as well as bags, purses and Scottish clan crests, luminaries, small figurines and brooches and necklaces.
