Deer and Doves Exhibit - J. Franklin Wright Gallery- opening August 3, 2017 6:00 p.m.

Deer and Doves is a series of paintings by Tylor McNeil. He started the project from a memory of his father’s love of hunting. His father wasn’t a very good hunter, but when has that ever stopped anyone?  His father’s elusive prized deer started out as an ambition and then morphed into a haunting obsession. The series attempts to use that as a start to explore the fallout from broken dreams as they are chased down to grasp at fleeting redemption. Through this dark and stormy journey , the series plays with the archetypes of the trinity as they form the old lighthouse that can either confuse or shine the way through the void.

Opening August 3 at 6:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. Public invited.
