The Colourblind Collective was created by a group of artists ten years ago. Art is usually quite a solitary experience so we felt the urge to get together to talk art and discuss ideas, techniques and just feed off one another. It has been very rewarding and fun.
The group includes artists who work in different mediums and have a wide range of styles but we share the beauty of Western Cape Breton's landscape and light, and the friendship of good earthy people. Some of the Collective has grown up on the Cape others have been drawn to our shores.
The members include: A.J. AuCoin; folk artist and poet, Virginia MacCoy; semi-abstract spiritualist, Terry MacDonald; graphic artist, muralist etc., Mandie Creed; adventurist landscape artist, Colonel MacLellan; wildlife, river, ocean landscaper, Dave MacGregor; free spirit landscaper carver, sculptor and Tom Ryan; urban landscape fishing boat guy.
Please join us for the opening, April 3 at 6:30p.m. All are welcome.
