Join us in the J. Franklin Wright Gallery as we present artist Mary C Hankey. "The past two years has brought unexpected challenges, but it also brought new opportunities. I spent time seeking out online classes for photography, including macro which is all about showcasing a subject larger than it is in real life. It gave me a new appreciation for what’s just outside our door. It encourages the photographer to take a closer look, especially when it comes to nature. It offered the chance to observe things I had not noticed before, even when photographing fabricated objects indoors. Committing time regularly to learn more about photography helped me to enjoy the creative process of image making. Recently someone asked what is my favourite season to photograph. Each season brings new and unique possibilities. Ice crystals in winter, birds migrating in spring, flowers in summer, blazes of colour in autumn." -Mary C Hankey
